These terms govern your use of Trait Deck, an Android app published by Hugo Software. By installing or using the app you agree to them.
What Trait Deck is — and what it is not
Trait Deck is entertainment. You answer forty statements about yourself, the app scores those answers on five plain-language axes, and it describes the pattern in language you are free to disagree with.
It is not a psychological test, not a clinical or diagnostic instrument, not a medical device, and not professional advice of any kind. It has not been clinically validated. It does not measure intelligence, ability, mental health, or suitability for a job, a course, a relationship or anything else.
Do not use Trait Deck to make hiring, admission, medical, legal, financial or safety decisions about yourself or anyone else. If you are worried about your mental health, speak to a qualified professional.
Independence from other personality systems
Trait Deck's five-axis model, its twelve archetypes and all of its written text are our own work. Trait Deck is not affiliated with, endorsed by, derived from or compatible with MBTI®, Myers-Briggs®, 16Personalities, the Enneagram, DISC, or any other third-party personality framework or trademark. Any resemblance in general subject matter does not imply a relationship.
The compatibility comparison
The comparison feature takes two sets of answers entered on the same device and reports a weighted comparison of the two axis profiles. The number it produces is a description of those answers and nothing more. It is not a prediction about any relationship, and it should not be used as one.
Subscriptions and payment
Some parts of the app — the last four layers of the reading, all twelve cards in the deck, unlimited comparisons and result history — require a Trait Deck Pro subscription.
- Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play, not by us. The current price and the current free-trial length are shown inside the app and on Google Play in your own currency, at the moment you subscribe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can view, manage and cancel a subscription in the Google Play Store under Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If a free trial is offered and you cancel before it ends, you are not charged for the first period.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy. We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly.
Acceptable use
You may use Trait Deck for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, or republish the app's written readings, question set or archetype descriptions, and you may not reverse-engineer the app except where that right cannot be excluded by law. The app's text, design, model and archetype names remain the property of Hugo Software.
Cards you generate and share are yours to post wherever you like.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue the app or any of its features. We may add, remove or reword questions and readings; if we do, a result you took earlier may not reproduce exactly.
Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Hugo Software is not liable for any decision you or anyone else makes on the basis of anything the app displays.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

Trait Deck is intended for users aged 18 and over.
